Indie rock band The Knee Hi's haven smitten the hearts of independent music enjoyers across America and in their hometown of Chicago, Illinois with their energy packed shows and neo-classical sound. Described as "junkshop glam" and "eclectic and electric", the all-girl four piece consists of Devyn Crimson on bass, Alice Strider on lead guitar, and sisters Chris Luck on drums, with Ash on rhythm guitar. Offering themselves up as a "living love letter to rock n roll" according to their website, their shows have an undeniable energy and sound akin to that of Joan Jett and the Blackhearts. The Knee-Hi's originally formed in the last weeks of 2019, and they were only able to perform a handful of shows before the Covid-19 pandemic brought nearly all live music to a halt. Taking it on the chin, they changed directions and dove right into the studio, releasing two new singles and their first album from 2020-2022. Most recently, the outfit released a new single "Beauty Queen" in January of this year, with more singles expected to come along as the year goes on. Make sure to be on the lookout for more releases in the coming months!
